YourStory

Innovative Enterprise is proud to bring you YourStory. In this exciting and unique Enterprise Plus programme, groups of students use their creativity in teams to write, script, plan, act, photograph and create a photo-comic storyboard which they can use to highlight issues that affect them.

This programme will relate to the students themselves and the needs of YOUR school. Different schools and different students will have their own school-based, local and global issues to discuss - the most common themes are: bullying, cyber-bullying, environmental concerns, gun crime / violence, STDs, teenage pregnancy, eating disorders, the emptiness of celebrity culture, the importance of being yourself and reaching your goals and potential but the issues are endless!

As you can see, YourStory links to a variety of curriculum targets at KS3 and KS4 and the following areas are brought together in an exciting and practical way: Enterprise, ICT, PHSE, Citizenship, English, Art and The Performing Arts.

It's a bit like the old photo-love stories but the twist is they will create and then present their story to the rest of the audience. We bring along the cameras, laptops, props and mini studios - they work together in teams to highlight their own issue.

Key Features:

Working with an overall cohort of around 80 students, YourStory brings groups of 8 - 10 students together in a highly-pressurised "publishing and production" environment.

The standard cost for YourStory is £950 for up to 80 students over a half-day. If the school day could be halved exactly into two, or if the event was run in exactly the same manner on consecutive days the cost would be just £1500, for up to 160 students - representing better value for money through the provision of a £400 discount.
